General Plumbing Repairs
If you give us a call early in the day we can usually get to your plumbing problem the same day. We have over 20 trucks that respond to just plumbing repairs. We are happy to install plumbing products you have purchased elsewhere. Our plumbing trucks carry a good variety of general plumbing parts so this can save you money. We service the greater Tucson area, this includes Marana and Oro Valley some areas do have an additional travel charges for remote areas.
Repiping Water Lines
Many have heard about the bad polybutylene piping that was installed in many houses in Tucson and Phoenix. Our plumbers have been replacing polybutylene piping for 20 years now in Tucson. We also replace old galvanized piping and copper water piping that has the pinhole leaks. We usually complete most repipe jobs within 3 days. Our plumbers try to make sure your never without water over night. We also know very good drywall repair professionals to fix the walls after we are complete. We offer free estimates for repiping homes.
Faucet Repairs
Most faucet repairs we do are quick and easy. Most newer faucets do not use washers and seats anymore, they have switched over to using cartridges or balls assemblies instead. Knowing the brand of faucet is helpful when calling us to have your faucet repaired. Because of the switch from washers to cartridge the cost for cartridges are much higher, sometimes these cartridges cost as much as a new faucet. If you think you may need a new faucet and you don't have one, be sure to let us know when you call and we will make sure the plumber shows up with a new faucet.
Bathtub and Shower Faucets
Bathtub and shower faucets are usually just as easy for us to repair. Our plumbers can also replace bathtub and shower faucets which can entail more work. Replacing a bathtub or shower faucet requires us to enter the wall, these jobs come out nice but do require a couple hours to complete. As an alternate to replacing the entire faucet in the wall we do carry a nice variety of faucet renovation kits. Faucet renovation kits include all the stems, seats and external Chrome handles and flanges. After a faucet renovation your faucet will work just like a new one. We do not carry faucet renovation kits on our trucks, so you might want to look at the ones we carry and let us know which one you will need.
Toilet Repairs
As far as plumbing goes, toilet repairs are probably one of the most common. Our plumbers each will probably rebuild or repair an average of one toilet per day. Toilets have changed a lot in the past several years and the repair parts are not standard anymore. Now with the new water saver toilets, each manufacturer is developing their own mechanism for getting the 1.6 gallon toilets to function properly. A do it yourselfer used to be able to handle this job quick and easy, but the new non-standard parts are making this a job for an experienced professional. Our plumbers carry toilet plumbing parts for about 95% of the toilets.
Drain Cleaning
Drain cleaning can cost you a fortune at many of the franchise companies in town. It's not unusual for a company to charge $400-$500 for you to have a drain cleaned. This is one service you should call around and get prices on. Our drain and sewer cleaning services range from $75 to $175. We do offer hydro-jetting and video sewer line inspections as well. Hydro-jetting is a good way to completely blast away old built up sludge that builds up in pipes over years of use. Video sewer line inspections allow us to look into your sewer line and look for problems. We also have chemical treatments that can go beyond what a drain cleaning machine is capable of. At AriCo Plumbing we can respond to most drain cleaning calls the same day.
Garbage Disposers
If your garbage disposer is giving you problems, here are a couple things to try before calling out a professional. If your disposer makes a humming noise but doesn't work, there is a good chance it is just jammed. You can use an Allen wrench on the bottom of your disposer to get it free again. Sometimes when they jam up, they also pop the red or reset button on the side or bottom of the disposer. Press this button in and make sure it isn't jammed, and it should start up for you. If the reset button isn't tripped, and it isn't making a noise when you turn it on, you might be looking at replacing your disposer. Disposers are usually sealed up and do not allow for easy disassembly, so it is best just to have a plumber replace your disposer.
Take a look at our disposers online and let us know if you would like to have one of them installed. You can also provide your own disposer and we will be happy to install it for you. New disposers can be replaced within an hours time normally. If you're changing our your disposer, it is good time to replace those pipes under the kitchen sink as well. Plastic pipes are usually okay but metal pipes tend to rust through after about 7-10 years of service. We can also replace basket strainers that tend to get scratched up over the years.
Water Filters and Reverse Osmosis
We can install a Reverse Osmosis system for you or a water filter. RO systems are tricky to install and its not something a general homeowner should tackle. There are many brands of RO systems available and most home improvement centers carry at least one. AriCo Plumbing does not carry RO systems or filters, but we will be happy to install yours. Our plumbers have experience and install RO and Water Softeners in Tucson.
Our Rates
We charge by the hour for most minor plumbing repairs. Our rates are $59 for the first half hour and $65 per hour after for jobs within the local Tucson area. There is also a charge for materials we install or use. We hope our rates are fair and we think we offer one of the best deals in Tucson. One popular company in Tucson is charging $95 for the first half hour. We do have many set prices that you will find under the services and products.
Free Estimates
If you are thinking about having major work done, we do offer estimates free of charge. These estimates can be for repipes, water line replacements, sewer line replacements, major gas line replacements, gas shut off repairs or remodels. Any plumbing job that will take a day or more to complete we give free estimates for. We do not give free estimates for minor repairs. A technician can give you a price before he starts the work on minor plumbing repairs, if you choose not to go forward with the work, there is a $39 travel & diagnostic fee. Sometimes we can offer a rough estimate for minor repairs over the phone if you ask.
